In a city often known for brutal winter weather, we like to enjoy our summer weather while we can. One of the true summer joys in Worcester is dining outside at one of the great sidewalk cafes, patios or outdoor bars in the city. Meals always taste better al fresco and drinks always quench your thirst better in the open air. The Worcester dining scene is ripe with places to wine and dine while enjoying the best of what summer has to offer and, in true, lazy-days-of-summer style, we are making it as easy a possible for you to find great places in the city to eat outside!

Steamed Milk

Steamed Milk with a shot of vanilla flavor at Inhouse Coffee on Shrewsbury Street.

Many of us overload with caffeine throughout the work day, so when we go out to one of our favorite cafés in Worcester we are hesitant to push ourselves over that proverbial cliff. Those of us that are looking to actually sleep at night have countless alternatives to coffee. At In House Coffee on Shrewsbury Street, we’ve opted for the Steamed Milk. This drink is a simplified latte, replacing the coffee with a shot of flavor (in this case vanilla) mixed with (skim or regular) milk. An extra hot stream of water creates a nice frothy foamed texture, mixing in a lightly sweet flavor. So, when going to a coffee shop but not looking for the caffeine buzz, try the Steamed Milk.
