Chicken with Basil from Thai Time on Highland Street in Worcester, MA

Thai Time sits in the space that used to be Tortilla Sam’s, adjacent to the Boynton on Highland Street. The parking in the area is tough as they don’t have a parking lot so you have to find street parking. Otherwise, it’s a nice location with plenty of space.

I started with the Chicken Satay, one of my favorite Thai appetizers. This was very nicely done. This came as 4 skewers of decent size and the chicken was cooked nicely and very tender and flavorful. It stripped off the skewer easily and could be cut with a fork. The peanut sauce was excellent and really complimented the chicken making it better together. Overall, a very good appetizer.

For dinner I ordered Chicken with Basil, which was a healthy amount of chopped chicken with sautéed basil leaves, green peppers, onion, mushrooms, broccoli, and spicy Thai basil sauce served with a side of plain white rice. The combination of textures and flavors in this dish were excellent with just the right amount spice/heat. The portion size was on the large side, but not so large to be wasteful, I didn’t end up with any leftovers and certainly wasn’t still hungry. Overall, an excellent dish and worth a return trip.
