On my way to Armsby Abbey heard a familiar sound—the keys of a piano—coming from Dr. Gonzos. Decided to stop in to see what it is all about and met some new people and tried some new flavors, including the Supermash.
Comings and Goings this Fall!
Comings and Goings
As chronicled, Worcester is not unlike any other area in the country as far as Comings and Goings for businesses. In the “Goings” column recently we find Emerald Isle on Millbury Street (where will the big Leprechaun hat go?), Boston Billiards (a longtime staple) and Apsara on Park Ave (but Loft 266 upstairs is still going strong).
Recent openings include The People’s Kitchen, from Niche Hospitality at One Exchange Place. This new concept from the folks at Niche is interesting. The website says…”The food at TPK is not fussy, it is wholesome, abundant, comforting and most importantly, affordable. Long live food and conversation”. On Shrewsbury Street we found a new Hookah Bar called the Shisha Room (Hookah is hot in Worcester). It is beautifully outfitted and offers a very relaxing atmosphere. Kai Sushi Bar and Grille on Stafford Street joins the sushi scene in Worcester where the competition is fierce…we wish them luck!
