Zorba’s Chicken

Zorba's Chicken

Zorba's Chicken

Oompa! This is the word that comes to mind when I envision the cuisine I devoured at Zorba’s Taverna Restaurant and Bar! After scanning the extensive menu, I narrowed my choices down to 5. After difficult deliberation I finally decided on Zorba’s Chicken. The ingredients on their own sounded divine, but when served upon a moderate-sized rectangle of puff pastry (flaky and delicious) and topped with a light cream sauce, I was in Heaven! The chicken breast was small but seared nicely with a thin crispy crust, and moist, tender meat. It was placed rather stoically atop a heaping mound of perfectly wilted spinach, mushrooms, and sliced thin spicy Greek sausage – the pairing of flavors complimented by the thyme cream sauce was spectacular. The sauce was flavorful and surprisingly very light. I used the puff pastry to soak up what little sauce was left on my plate. I would order this dish again in a heartbeat. -AV

Chicken Atlantis

Chicken Atlantis

Chicken AtlantisThe Chicken Atlantis at Zorba’s Taverna Restaurant and Bar is a grilled free range statler chicken breast served on a bed of sauteed shrimp, scallops, lobster and topped with a creamy lobster sauce; served with mashed potato and sauteed broccoli.

This dish was as delicious as the portion was large. There was a surprisingly generous amount of shellfish and it was all perfectly cooked in a yummy lick-your-plate lobster sauce. The chicken was slightly dry, but doused in that lobster sauce I barely noticed. Accompanied with a pile of creamy mashed potatoes and perfectly steamed broccoli – this was a perfect comfort dish for a rainy night. -SB
