Oyster Shooter

There are a lot of different cocktails and shots available at bars and restaurants. Sadly, most are often a random medley of sweet liquors and cute names, but if you want to order a shot that combines class with an exotic allure, belly up to an Oyster Shooter. Baba Sushi has one of the best oyster shooters that I’ve tried in the commonwealth. Combining a freshly shucked raw oyster and quail egg with high quality liquor, a dash of tabasco, lemon juice, and topped with salmon roe, Baba’s Oyster Shooter is as attention getting as the flavor—full and long-lasting.

Rum Revolution

The Worcester Art Museum has been acknowledged for it’s significant contribution to the art world since it’s conception in the late 1890s. Being forward thinking, the museum has had many events taking place on the Third Thursdays of each month that combine art and education with social entertainment. Tonight, they presented the Rum and the Revolution, an enlightening presentation about rum and the American Revolution with Tobias Tripp and Abijah Toddy. Whether you are an art enthusiast or just looking for a great night out from the standard scene to meet new people and learn a little bit about history, the Third Thursday’s might be that outlet.
