This was my second trip to Thai Time. I cannot recall what I had the first time but this second time around was delicious. The place itself is not much to look at and is non-descript. The service was attentive and timely and I found they came back to refill water glasses and tea as needed. This place is a BYOB establishment with a bit of a twist. They charge you a 2:00 dollar fee to bring in your alcohol.
My husband and I started with an appetizer of “Satay Chicken—” thin slices of chicken grilled and skewered. It comes with two dipping sauces, a clear sweet sauce and a peanut sauce. The chicken was juicy and cooked to perfection.
For my entrée I ordered the “Thai Time Lad-Nar,” I would usually order the Masaman curry as it is my favorite but wanting to try something new I went out on a limb and ordered this. I am so happy I did, it was fantastic. It comes with chicken and shrimp doused in brown gravy with wide noodles, baby corn, broccoli and bits of browned egg accompanied the sauce. No hot spice to speak of in this dish but very flavorful and did not need the spice. If you prefer less spice in your dishes this would be the one for you. I imagine they could spice if up but the way it was served was perfect for me. I would return and recommend this place.
