The Boynton, located on Highland Street is a very popular spot in Worcester. I have been to The Boynton several times, mostly for lunch, so I was looking forward to trying dinner.
The menu is diverse and literally offers something for everyone. In addition to the food, they always have a great beer selection.
Each time I have been to The Boynton, it is always super busy. I enjoy the lively, comfortable atmosphere here. The service has always been great and our server did an excellent job with our large party.
For my appetizer I ordered the Tuna Sashimi – cajun seared sushi grade tuna, thinly sliced, and placed over a bed of Asian coleslaw with pickled ginger, wasabi, and lite soy sauce. Tuna at the Boynton I thought? Well, this was one of the best tuna appetizers I think I have ever had. The tuna was cooked to perfection; the flavors of the Asian coleslaw were a perfect accompaniment. Several of us ordered the tuna and everyone was raving about it. Highly recommend! In addition, a fellow Foodie ordered the fried Brussel sprouts – crispy fried fresh Brussel sprouts, truffle seasoned and served with a spicy dipping sauce. I was happy she was so kind to share, as these were magnificent! So good in fact that my neighbor and I decided to order some for us to share with our meal.
For my entrée, I decided to go with one of my favorite, a dinner special, Fish Tacos – grilled fish, cabbage, avocado, salsa, and cheese tucked into three soft shell tacos. The fish was seasoned and cooked perfectly, these tacos were delicious!
My experience at the Boynton was eye opening; I can now appreciate and understand why so many people say, “I love The Boynton.” I will definitely be back!
