Zorn

20110514-044134.jpgWho says that art should be restricted to the canvasses at the Worcester Art Museum? With an updated menu, the Café at WAM is serving food that even an art critic would love. The Zorn sandwich, for example, is a twist on the grilled cheese with two slices of a seven grain bread, creamy Brie, and cranberry and apple chutney, grilled to melt together like the brush strokes of a master. Accompanied with a side of cold tortellini and cubed squash and tomato this dish is a great excuse to escape the galleries.

Tuna Panini

As it appears on the Menu: All white tuna salad, tomatoes, fresh avocado and cheddar cheese

The Facts on the Dish: Served on a slightly toasted white roll, the tuna salad was mixed with finely chopped red onions and cucumbers. White cheddar cheese is melted to the bottom of the roll with a generous portion of fresh avocado and three slices of ripe tomatoes, served with a side of crinkle fries.

Review: This dish was delicious. The perfect meal for either dinner or lunch. The bread was perfectly toasted-crusty on the outside and soft on the inside. The tuna salad was lightly dressed mixed with the perfect ratio of “crunchies” (red onion and celery). The generous portion of crinkle fries were a blast from the past, bringing me straight back to my childhood.
