The planning of the 2nd annual Corporators Ball, A festival of Lanterns, at the Worcester Art Museum is under way and sounding like the social event of the year in New England. Luckily, we now have details into this special event. The inspiration for the theme of the ball is the Samurai! exhibition on display at the museum.
Co-chairs Jennifer C. Glowik and Luke M. Vaillancourt are heading up the preparations for this event. Rest assured the Samurai theme will be felt throughout the atmosphere of the night, drawing on more than an evening for the well-dressed art enthusiasts. This evening draws not only supporters but artists, students, philanthropists, socialites and even the infamous foodie looking for American classics by Russell Morin.
The cross disciplinary fusion of the Samurai exhibition meets art, community and culture will incorporate a red carpet arrival, cocktail reception and a delectable dinner. Immerse yourself in the colorful lanterns and meet interesting art collectors, business professionals and fashionistas at this year’s Corporators Ball. Silent and live auctions will be held to keep the night in full swing allowing the attendees to continue to support the museum by bidding on countless items and experiences. A high spirited after dinner party awaits in the Stoddard Garden Court to complete this charming evening. The entertainment provided by the one and only Sam James from the television show, The Voice is sure to bring out the inner dancer in you.
Sweep the dance floor with us under a festival of lanterns among the beauty that is the Worcester Art Museum on Saturday, June 13, 2015 from 6 to 11 p.m. Tickets prices start at $250 for the entire evening and $75 for the after dinner party only. Whether this is your first introduction to the museum or you’re a long-time supporter, we’d like people near and far to be influenced by the Samurai! Be your own work of art as we celebrate the Worcester Art Museum with an evening that will be a memory of a night to remember.
