Don’t be fooled by the name because Joey’s Bar and Grill is much more than a “bar” or a “grill”… Joey’s is a complete dining experience.
Although I have eaten at Joey’s a few times, I was excited to join my friends from WorcesterFoodies at this outstanding establishment. The restaurant has an air of elegance, while not being overly pretentious and the decor is sophisticated while remaining casual at the same time. But the real draw at Joey’s is the food. As I said, I have eaten at Joey’s a few times having enjoyed the Braised Short Ribs and the Chicken Frangelico on different occasions, so this time I chose the Chicken Parmesan dinner. And while this choice was not very adventurous it was prepared exactly as I had asked (no sauce on the chicken and cooked extra crispy) and met every expectation. The chicken was pan fried with Panko breadcrumbs which which helped keep the chicken crispy on the outside while moist and tender on the inside. The sauce, which I had served on the side was rich, flavorful with finished with a spicy kick. The pasta served as a side dish was homemade and fresh, a nice touch and something not found in many restaurants today.
Overall, Joey’s was fantastic, as it has been on every other occasion I have been there! -JG
