Duck Confit Chimichangas from Mezcal Tequila Cantina was rolled and deep-fried flour tortillas filled with mushrooms, onions, jalapeños and jack cheese, topped with salsa verde, chipotle aioli and creme, served with Mexican rice.
Mezcal is in a new location in worcester and it is looking good. Love the open space and the cool fabrics and stunning lighting. And it looked like the menu got an update too. We have frequented Mezcal in the past because every once in a while we crave the absolutely yummy guacamole they whip up there along side a few margarita’s and it all makes for a very nice evening. This trip I thought it would be nice to delve into some of the dinner options so I went with a duck confit Chimichanga covered in a melody of pretty sauces. It was crispy on the outside and stuffed full of goodies on the inside. The duck was my favorite part as it had a wonderful aroma and even better flavor. The sauces were warm and spicy, adding an additional layer of flavor to the mix. This was a very big size meal and I was not able to finish it all off. Overall everything was quite nice, including our friendly and knowledgeable servers.
