Cupcakes for Breakfast at The Queen’s Cups Grand Opening

Sarah Live at the Queen's Cups opening on Water Street in Worcester, MA

Sarah Connell and Jill Witkowski check out a new addition to the neighborhood at 56 Water Street. Renee King of The Queen’s Cups has set up shop in the old Bucky’s Garage, and the space has never looked better! The folks of Lock50 are pleased to have a new neighbor, and delighted to try the Lock50 Lemon Lavender cupcakes created in their honor. Other Canal District tributes include Amy Chase Crunch Coat, Seed to Stem Sprinkle Cake, Smokestack Somoa, and Birch Tree Brownie. Even with a line out the door, star staffer, Keryn Reno didn’t skip a beat. We can’t wait to see what’s next for Water Street.

Popcorn… Ice Cream

Popcorn Ice Cream

Popcorn Ice CreamWhen looking to end your night on a sweet note, try something from a nationally renowned Chef Alina Eisenhauer featured on Food Network’s Chopped and Cupcake WarsSweet Pastry Shop and Dessert Bar on Shrewsbury Street offers a private setting with desserts second to none and what’s best is that they are all freshly prepared right in front of you. Including the Popcorn Ice Cream. Made with cream and milk from local Coopers farm in Leicester, pop corn that has been popped buttered and salted, sugar, eggs, and vanilla.

Don’t worry though, you won’t find any soggy popcorn within the ice cream itself, instead Chef Alina warms the cream, milk and sugar and then adds the popcorn to it, allowing it to infuse for 20-30 minutes before straining it out.

Prepared in a cute popcorn container and finished with salted peanuts and caramel, this dessert is one that speaks for itself.
