EcoTarium’s Mad Hatter Party

Saturday, July 13, 2 to 3 p.m. — Join for fun in Wonderland! Wear your best Mad Hatter hat, take your photograph with Alice and the Mad Hatter, meet a live hedgehog and turtle, and explore the EcoTarium’s “Alice’s Wonderland” exhibit. “Queen of Hearts” cookies and lemonade served. Free with Museum Admission.

Museum Admission: $14 adults, $8 children ages 2-18, $10 seniors and students with ID; Free for members and children under 2.

Massachusetts Symphony Orchestra for 4th of July

SUMMER FAMILY CONCERT AT INSTITUTE PARK

SUMMER FAMILY CONCERT AT INSTITUTE PARK The Massachusetts Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Alton Baggett, will present a concert, with fireworks, of classical, patriotic, and Broadway music on Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at East Park on Shrewsbury Street in Worcester. Vocal soloists will be Richard Monroe and Jane Shivick. This program is supported in part by a grant from the Worcester Arts Council, a local agency which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.

The park opens at 6:00 PM with Kids Korner activities and food vendors. A ceremonial flag raising will begin the festivities at 7:45 PM followed by a performance by the acclaimed Massachusetts Symphony Orchestra as part of their Summer Concert Series at 8:00 PM. A dazzling fireworks display at 9:30 PM will light up the sky with a brilliant show. Rain date is Friday, July 5, 2013.
