I’ve been to Compass Tavern dozens of time–but never for dinner. Whenever my girlfriends and I want a night out, we always end up at Compass. They have a great nightlife scene on the weekends. When I found out it was our next Foodies stop, I was definitely a bit skeptical. I’m happy to say they proved me wrong.
I ordered the Hanger Steak and Truffle Fries. This is a dish that I don’t see on many menus around Worcester so I was really excited to see it. For only $14, I couldn’t say no. My steak was cooked the way I asked and the truffle fries were phenomenal. I’m a sucker for truffle fries and was really impressed with what Compass prepared.
In addition to offering delicious food, the service was fantastic. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. She told us about their most popular dishes. And, I don’t think the drinks, appetizers, and dinner could have been served any faster either. It was a nice experience!
Not only does Compass Tavern have a great nightlife presence for Worcester’s college students and young professionals, but the food is top notch–especially considering the reasonable menu prices. I will be back with friends for a bite to eat before a night out for sure!
