Bisteca di Manza

The presentation of the Bisteca di Manza from Nuovo Restaurant was artful, but at first appearance it seems to be a meager portion (it’s not – the food is more than enough, this is just a trick of the oversized plates). The steak was tender, juicy, and grilled masterfully—although it was lacking the intense flavors that I had hoped—I had to pour on the salt to bring out a hint of flavor. The medley rice was delicious with an interesting texture. It was a little garlicky for me, but I’m a bit sensitive to the onion family so I’m sure for anyone else it would be perfect. If there was one thing I wasn’t impressed with in this dinner, it was the warm beans. They were too soft and lacked a taste of their own. In conclusion, I would return to Nuovo but next time try a different dish.  -BJH
