Similar to the “in the pit” beef brisket, the “between the bun” beef brisket sandwich at Smokestack Urban Barbecue did not disappoint. The dish itself arrived with a heaping helping of thin cut, crispy French fries. These, on their own, were absolutely delicious, lightly fried, salted, and plentiful. The sandwich itself was a massive portion of the dry rubbed, moist, and unbelievably tender brisket topped with crispy onion rings, inside two large buns. Some brisket sandwiches are difficult to eat because the meat is tough. Not Smokestack’s brisket! This meat was tender and juicy…the hardest part was taking a bite of this giant sandwich. The onion strings similar to the fries were lightly fried and the perfect compliment to the smokey meat. I ordered my sandwich smothered with the tangy house-made BBQ sauce which added a bite to my dish. I made sure not to leave a drop on my plate and it ended up being a perfect condiment for my leftover fries. This dish is a must have!
